Interface views missing in Dashboard Builder - DX NetOps Performance Management

Issue/Introduction

Specific views targeting interfaces or devices, such as "Interface Utilization In Trend/Baseline Detail with Events", are not visible or selectable in the Dashboard Builder. This typically occurs when building a new dashboard or modifying an existing one where the available views appear limited to Group-based options.

Symptoms

• When searching for specific views in the Dashboard Builder, the desired interface-level views do not appear.
• Only Group-based views are listed as selectable options.
• The user is unable to apply a view to a specific device or interface.

Environment

• DX NetOps Performance Management (all versions)
• DX NetOps Portal

Cause

Dashboard views are filtered based on the target context of the dashboard. By default, dashboards often focus on groups. If the dashboard context is set to "Group", views that require a specific item context (like "Interface" or "Device") are hidden from the selection list.

Resolution

To make interface-specific views selectable, update the dashboard context:

1. Open the Dashboard in Edit mode.
2. Select the Context for the dashboard View being set up by selecting the target items type and the specific target item.
3. Search for the view again (e.g., "Interface Utilization In Trend/Baseline Detail with Events"). The view will now be available to add to the dashboard.
