Issue:

We got  the CALC257E message when we executed the TMEDSN01 .

***CALC257E STATEMENT BEGINNING ON LINE 404 ERROR - FIELD BLKCNT SPACED OUTSIDE COLUMNS 1 TO 132

Could you please tell me your advice?

You had comment out COPY EARLDEFS in his SYSIN to EARL, then physically copy the CA-1 CAISRC EARLDEFS member into his SYSIN following the comment, then change   (*.CTAPECPB for rel 12 and up)
OPTION PRINTER=132
...to...
OPTION PRINTER-nnn <- change to your size( up to 216)

This way, you are using a customized copy of EARLDEFS and did not change it for the other reports.
