Issue/Introduction

 

We got  the CALC257E message when we executed the TMEDSN01 .

***CALC257E STATEMENT BEGINNING ON LINE 404 ERROR - FIELD BLKCNT SPACED OUTSIDE COLUMNS 1 TO 132

How can this be resolved?

 

 

 

Resolution

The COPY EARLDEFS was commented out in the SYSIN to EARL.   Copy the *.CTAPECPB(EARLDEFS0 member into his SYSIN following the comment and change
OPTION PRINTER=132
...to...
OPTION PRINTER-nnn <- change to your size( up to 216)

This way, you are using a customized copy of EARLDEFS and did not change it for the other reports.
