Issue/Introduction

• Firewalls Not Discovered and Existing Devices Removed During Discovery.
• When a device is discovered in Smarts, discovery of next device, overwrites previously discovered device.

Environment

All Supported Smarts versions 

Cause

Both devices which are overwriting each other share same IP which is resolving to same SysName. 

Resolution

Device owner has to correct IP address on the device or force Smarts to use SEEDNAME as 

V2 Example:

#.#.#.# SEEDNAME=DUMMY1 NAMEFORMAT=TM_USESEEDNAME

#.#.#.# SEEDNAME=DUMMY2 NAMEFORMAT=TM_USESEEDNAME

V3 Example:

#.#.#.# SNMPVERSION=V3 USER=<V3_USER> AUTHPROTOCOL=SHA AUTHPASS=authPass PRIVPROTOCOL=AES PRIVPASS=privPass SEEDNAME=DUMMY3 NAMEFORMAT=TM_USESEEDNAME
