Issue/Introduction

Users may see in their browsers 503 response intermittently as follows when trying to access the pulse portal.

Environment

Issue can be seen with any browser trying to access the URL.

Cause

Sometime when the size of the cookies sent by the browsers to the portal may be very large exceeding the size supported by the webserver behind the portal causing it to respond with 503.

Resolution

Following 2 workarounds can be used.

1. Use browser in incognito mode

2. If it is ok, clear cookies in normal browser, and retry.

Additional Information

Note that this issue is specific to end users trying to access the portal from their browser and getting 503, Avi controller will not necessarily also get 503 error when accessing the portal.
