Issue/Introduction

What's the purpose of the "Assistance Session" and "Rest Access" object types available when creating new SDM events?

Environment

SDM 17.x

Resolution

The Assistance Session Object is related to support automation and is no longer being used. It's not possible to delete or hide this event type. Creating any event on this object has no impact.

The Rest access object is being used internally for handling the cleanup of the rest access token created after its expiration. By default, SDM has an event called "Remove expiring REST sessions" which gets added as an animator entry whenever a rest access is created. The purpose of this event is to clear the REST access token after the expiration date is passed triggered the animator event.
