S0C7 ABEND in ADSUT374 at offset +622

Issue/Introduction

Problem:

Backup processing abends with S0C7 in module ADSUT374 at offset +622. 

 

Environment:

CA Disk r12.5 Backup and Archive processing.

 

Cause:

Maintenance has been applied to CA Disk that introduced a new sysparm or changes to an existing sysparm.

Following the SMP/E process, the changed CA Disk load library (CCUWLOAD) has been taken over, but the corresponding changes in the PARMEDIT member from the CCUWPARM have been missed. The S0C7 abend in module ADSUT374 at offset +622 is caused by an old PARMEDIT member that does not match the new load modules of the CA Disk load library after applying maintenance on CA DISK. 

 

Resolution:

Copy the PARMEDIT member from the upgraded SMP/E library CCUWPARM to the running Parmlib, this should solve the problem.
