Log Management Availability Issues Detected in VCF 9.1

Issue/Introduction

VCF Operations 9.1 environment > Log managed object has the following symptoms:

• An alert in the dashboard stating: "Log Management availability issues detected".
• The "Log Management Health Overview" dashboard shows a "Log Store Health" widget with a score of 1 (Degraded) or 2 (Critical).

Environment

VCF Operations 9.1.x

VCF Log Management 9.1.x

Cause

The replica shards cannot be assigned to the same node as their primary shards in a single-node cluster, causing the system to misinterpret this as a health issue.

Resolution

If the Log Manager instance is deployed as a single-node cluster, the alert and the dashboard warning can be safely ignored
