Issue/Introduction

Users are unable to log in to the Privileged Access Manager (PAM) system using a PIV card because the PIV card certificates are not presented in the selection prompt during PKI authentication. This is observed after upgrade to PAM 4.3.

Environment

CA Privileged Access Manager 4.3 and 4.3.1

Cause

An update of a 3rd Party library caused a compatibility problem with certificates using a uniqueIdentifier (2.5.4.45) in the subjectName field.

Resolution

This will be fixed in PAM release 4.3.2. Look for product defect ID DE670469 in the list of resolved issues once 4.3.2 is released.

If you experience this problem with PAM 4.3.0 or 4.3.1 and an upgrade to 4.3.2 is not an option yet, contact PAM Support.
