Issue/Introduction

You are unable to enable a load balancer on an organization or delete a network configuration in VMware Cloud Foundation Automation (VCFA).
When attempting these tasks, you receive an "Invalid credentials" error message.

Environment

  • VMware Cloud Foundation Automation (VCFA 9.1)

  • VCF SDDC Manager 9.1

Cause

This issue occurs when the service account credentials are no longer valid. This typically happens if the service account has expired or has been locked out.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, you must generate new credentials by rotating the service account.

  1. Log in to VMware Cloud Foundation Automation (VCFA).

  2. Select the relevant SDDC Manager instance.

  3. Perform a rotation of the service account to generate and apply the new credentials.

  4. Retry enabling the load balancer or deleting the network configuration.
