Error <Certificate_validation_failed> on License Manager VM console.

Issue/Introduction

• Displays following error on the License Manager virtual machine console:
  

   Connectivity : Disconnected <Certificate_validation_failed>

  

• The VCF BSC portal incorrectly indicates that the "Upgrade is in progress" and the newly deployed license server is missing from the interface under Licenses & Registration > VCF Operations Registration.
• Fails to register VCF Operations and License server.

Environment

• VCF Operations 9.1

• License Server 9.1

Cause

This issue occurs because the initial License server deployment does not complete correctly. If an invalid or incorrect One-Time Key (OTK) is used during initialization, the appliance fails its mutual certificate validation checks with the management portal, preventing it from appearing in the inventory.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, follow below steps:

1. Power off the faulty license server virtual machine.
2. Redeploy the license server appliance using the correct, valid One-Time Key (OTK).
3. Verify that the appliance deployment completes successfully and the server now displays under Licenses & Registration > VCF Operations Registration.
4. Refer Register VCF Operations and Your License Server in Disconnected Mode to execute the Register and License VCF Operations workflow.
5. Verify the VM console to confirm that the connection status is stable and free of errors.
