Issue/Introduction

ISG/SSP appliances registered in Management Center show an overall status of OK (Green) on the main dashboard, even when specific components (e.g., PSU) are in a WARNING or CRITICAL state. The Health Checks tab correctly identifies the failure, but it is not propagated to the main status / MC Device Health Dashboard screen.

Environment

MC 4.1.x, 3.x; ISG 2.x

ISG appliance integrated with Management Center

Cause

This is a known design limitation in how Management Center evaluates ISG/SSP health. The overall health status (Green/Warning/Error) is determined by the HealthStatus object, which currently only evaluates systemMetrics. "Health Checks" (such as Power Supplies and Appliance Certification Validation) are fetched separately and displayed in the UI but are not currently evaluated when calculating the device's overall dashboard status.

Resolution

To verify the actual health of an ISG/SSP device, administrators must click on the specific device and manually inspect the Status > Health Checks tab rather than relying on the main screen's aggregate status.
