Symantec ZTNA

Issue/Introduction

ZTNA Administrator added Webhook to 3rd party services for their tenant.

Changed appeared to be successful but no payload visible from the webhook channels added.

ZTNA logs do not show any errors or reasons for failure.

Looking at the 3rd party service, it appears that a 401 HTTP response code was sent back - yet the Webhook integration within ZTNA has no option to inject authentication information.

Environment

ZTNA.

Webhook into 3rd party.

Cause

Cannot inject authorization HTTP header without bound requests to Webhook server that requires authentication.

Resolution

Fixed with ZTNA update end of June 2026.

Webhook interface now allows for HTTP header injections via the configuration, and the Authorization HTTP header can be added with the users credentials.

Additional Information

A free Webhook online tester is available at https://webhookrelay.com/webhook-bin.
