Unable to successfully register a vCF Operations license to the VCF Business Service Console (BSC) using either online or offline methods. During registration attempts, the following sequence of errors may occur:
Initial Online Attempt:
This activation code is not validwhen applying the token at vCF Ops.
Offline Attempt:
"Error: License manager is not in active state" (this typically occurs after a user manually deactivates vCF Ops from the BSC following the first error).
Subsequent Online Attempt:
"Error: REGISTRATION_ERROR - Registration workflow step for license manager id ######## - #### - #### - #### - ############## not found"when the BSC loads.
vCF Operations 9.0.2.0
The primary cause blocking the current registration attempts is that the vCF Operations instance is sitting in a 'DEACTIVATED' state within the VCF Business Service Console. Following the initial token failure, if the process is manually canceled and vCF Ops is deactivated from the BSC, the system cannot process subsequent offline registrations or generate new online registration workflows.
To resolve this issue, the vCF Ops instance must be reactivated on the BSC. Reactivating the Ops instance restores its active communication status, clearing the workflow errors and preparing the system to successfully accept license associations.
Please follow these steps:
Navigate to the VCF Business Service Console.
Go to the VCF Operations Registrations tab.
Filter the instances by the status 'DEACTIVATED'.
Locate the target Ops instance, click the three-dot menu, and select Reactivate.
Once the instance is reactivated, proceed to associate the licenses.
