Dashboard Wizard Context Changes Not Persisting

Issue/Introduction

• You are making changes in the dashboard and its corresponding context within the wizard. However, after saving the changes, the context reverts back to the original settings and all modifications are lost.

• You have attempted this multiple times, including restarting the portal and performing logout/login, but the issue persists.

• Issue Summary:

  • Changes made in dashboard wizard context are not retained

  • After saving, configuration resets to original values

  • Behavior is consistent across multiple attempts. 

Environment

All supported releases of NetOps Performance Management prior to 25.4.8 release

Cause

This issue is caused by a product defect (DE184833) where 'Fixed' context values at the tenant level prevent user-level modifications from persisting during dashboard operations.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in DX NetOps release 25.4.8 and higher.

Workaround

If you cannot upgrade immediately, use the following steps to ensure your context changes are retained:

1. Initiate the Copy Dashboard operation.
2. Before saving the page, navigate to the tenant level settings of required views.
3. Clear the 'Fixed' Context value at the tenant level.
4. Ensure you clear this fixed context on each view prior to saving the page.

Clearing the fixed context prevents the value from being copied over, allowing your modifications to persist.
