Issue/Introduction

When shutting down or rebooting a server, the CA7AAI host task may fail or show a stopped status. This occurs even if the server is brought back up immediately, leading to automation failures.

Environment

  • Product: Automation Analytics  and Intelligence (AAI) version 24.x

Cause

This issue is caused by a product defect (DE204795) in how the CA7AAI host task handles shutdown signals during server transitions.

Resolution

This issue is targeted to be fixed in release 24.4.2. It is recommended to subscribe to this article to be updated on the fix status. For instructions on how to subscribe, see .

Temporary Workaround

Configure System Automation for Auto-Restart:

  1. Update the automation policy (IBM System Automation or CA OPS/MVS) to detect message AI7.TM02S or the status change AOF571I ... IS STOPPED.
  2. Define a restart rule to automatically issue the START CA7AAI command after a brief delay.
