Issue/Introduction

  • Under ESXi hosts metrics there is no Certificate Summary under Properties.
  • SDDC Manager sos.log shows password expired:
DEBUG [vcf_sos] [nsxhelper.py::_log_nsx_password::####::_parallel_nsx_password_expirationThread0] User audit status is PASSWORD_EXPIRED for <NSX hosts>

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x

VMware Cloud Foundation 5.x (SDDC Manager)

Cause

SOS Health check task is failing from SDDC manager causing the VMware Infrastructure Health adapter instance from picking up the SOS Health file.

Resolution

Fix the password issue from SDDC Manager:

  1. Log into SDDC Manager.
  2. Navigate to Security > Password Management.
  3. Select NSX Manager.
  4. Click on the 3 dotted menu next to audit user name.
  5. Select Update Password, set a new password, and click UPDATE.
  6. From Aria Operations UI, navigate back to ESXi host metrics under Properties.
  7. Verify Certificate Summary exist and populating with certificate metrics.

Additional Information

VMware Infrastructure Health adapter replaces SDDC Health Management Pack, see ESXi Host Certificate property doesn't show the correct data for renewed/updated certificate details.
