Issue/Introduction

After upgrading to VCFA 9.1, the Terraform, Security, and Images pages under the Infrastructure tab remain in a persistent loading state. This behavior is reproducible in upgraded environments but is not observed in Greenfield deployments.

The issue can be reproduced using the following steps:

  • Enable the VMApps feature flag.
  • Create a VMApp Organization.
  • Launch the Org portal.
  • Navigate to Infrastructure.
  • Observe that the Terraform, Security, and Images pages remain in a continuous loading state.

Environment

VCF Automation 9.1

Cause

The issue is caused by the Clarity UI framework used for rendering icons within the portal. When Clarity is unable to locate a requested icon in its icon registry, it displays a three-dot ("...") placeholder as a fallback.

Resolution

NOTE: This is a UI rendering issue related to icon availability and does not indicate a failure in loading the underlying page content or backend services.

Broadcom is aware of this issue and code-level fix is planned with the upcoming VCF 9.x release

Additional Information

  • The issue affects upgraded VCF 9.1 (VCFA) environments and has not been observed in Greenfield deployments.
  • Backend functionality and content loading are not impacted; the issue is limited to the user interface rendering.
