Issue/Introduction

Affected dashboards currently exhibit the following behavior upon hover due to this the widgets cannot display data, preventing the utilization of dashboards.

• A wrench icon appears next to the dashboard name.

• Associated widgets display an hourglass symbol with the message: "Dashboard import is in progress. Please, wait for a few seconds."  along with missing management pack information "Object Type Project xxxx not found".

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Operations 9.1

Cause

This is an expected behavior. The message is an informational alert confirming that a dependent adapter is missing.
For dashboard Showback (VM Cost) and Chargeback (VM Price) widgets explicitly depend on the CASAdapter (VCF Automation) to function properly.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, configure the missing adapter dependency:

1. Log in to VCF Operations.
2. Navigate to Administrations> Integration> Repository and click on the VCF Automation for VM Apps Organization instance Management Pack to configure it.
3. Allow a few minutes for data collection to initialize.

The wrench icon and hourglass symbols disappear automatically once VCF Operations begins receiving the required adapter data.
