Fails to renew VMware Aria Automation certificate from VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle with error: "LCMVRAVACONFIG90027"

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to renew the VMware Aria Automation certificate via VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle, the operation fails and the following error message is displayed, even though the correct root password was provided:

Environment

• Aria Automation 8.18.X
• Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.18.X

Cause

This issue occurs because SSH access is disabled on the VMware Aria Automation appliance. VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle requires active SSH access to connect to the appliance and gracefully update or renew the certificate.

Resolution

• Log in to the Automation Appliance command line interface as the root user.
• To activate SSH access, run the following command:
  /usr/bin/toggle-ssh enable
• Enabling SSH to Aria Automation allows Aria Suite Lifecycle to SH to it and update/renew certificate gracefully.
