Issue/Introduction

When a password is changed locally at the component level for Operations for Networks, VCF Operations, or Operations for Automation, the credentials can become disconnected. To resolve any errors that might occur during password changes, you use password remediation. Password remediation synchronizes the password of the account stored in the SDDC Manager with the updated password in the component.

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 9.x

Cause

The password was manually updated directly within the component appliance, resulting in a synchronization mismatch with the SDDC Manager database.

Resolution

  1. In VCF Operations, navigate to Fleet Management -> Passwords.

  2. Select the VCF component from the data grid that requires password remediation.

  3. Use the filter to display only disconnected accounts.

  4. Select the disconnected account and click the Remediate button to update it with the correct password.

  5. Enter the correct password details.

  6. Click on remediate to update the password.
