Issue/Introduction

We have a VM:BACKUP backup of a PROD  minidisk from a 6/11 backup.

The backup tape is scheduled to expire tomorrow (6/24).

We'd like to retain the backup past the expiration date, since we may need to restore from this to fix a production problem. 

Resolution

Step 1 - Extend the expiry in VM:Tape with the command `VMTAPE CATALOG volser RETPD 365`

Step 2 - You must also update the VM:Backup Catalog Expiration Dates to be sure VM:Backup does not scratch and discard the backup you want to keep longer.

  This is done using the VM:Backup System Administrator Main Menu, option 6 - Manage existing catalogs.
