Issue/Introduction

Symantec DLP Oracle database experiences performance degradation and high Average Active Sessions (AAS) spiking during high-load windows.

Environment

Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
Oracle Database 19c

Cause

If the pga_aggregate_target & sga_target is too low, large operations spill from memory to the TEMP tablespace, causing disk I/O bottlenecks and system latency.

Resolution

Adjust Oracle memory parameters as per the DLP system requirements guide.
