Issue/Introduction

When deploying objects such as Uprocs via the Univiewer Console, the deployment fails or shows a warning that the expansion is incomplete.

Environment

• Product: CA Automic Dollar Universe, Univiewer Console 7.x

Cause

The deployment package is incomplete. The Uproc being deployed references external objects—such as Resources, Applications, Uproc Classes, or Management Units—that were not included in the package and do not exist on the target node.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, recreate the deployment package ensuring all transitive dependencies are included.

1. Open the Univiewer Console and navigate to the source node.
2. Select the Uprocs intended for deployment.
3. Under the Objects and Dependencies section, select the Expand option.
4. Verify that all referenced Resources, Applications, and Conditions are checked for inclusion in the package.
5. Complete the package creation and retry the deployment to the target node.
6. Confirm the target environment has the required parent Application or Resource definitions if they are not being deployed as part of the package.
