Staging queries hang after patching the Oracle Database Client

Issue/Introduction

After applying the patch Windows Database Bundle Patch : 19.30.0.0.260120(REL-JAN260130) (38597735) to the Oracle Database Client, the staging steps in both the nightly RiskFabric Processing job and the RiskFabric Intraday Processing job hang. Querying the Log_DataTransformation table, you see a record with the LogName Stage Stg_SymantecDLP_PolicyKeyword is stuck in a running state while performing an insert into the table dbo.Stg_SymantecDLP_PolicyKeyword.

Other job steps and procedures that rely on the Oracle Database Client may also hang.

Resolution

Engage Oracle support for assistance with troubleshooting this issue.

Until the issue is resolved, the recommended workaround is to uninstall the Oracle Database Client patch.
