Error when executing 'grow-disk --status' command

Issue/Introduction

Executing 'grow-disk --status' command reported the following error:

Beginning grow_disk.sh - Thu Apr 16 11:39:22 PM AEST 2026
Unable to set 'DISK_TYPE' using command 'get_disk_type'.
Unable to determine disk type. Aborting.
ERROR: system: Failed to execute '/usr/local/bin/grow-disk.sh status':

Environment

SMG 10.9.1 (on VM)

Cause

SMG filesystems are mounted on the device file other than /dev/sda (for instance, /dev/sdb) causing 'grow-disk' command to probe disk that has no partition, and thus the error.
