Issue/Introduction

Executing multiple versions of Xmanager on the same LPAR for the Database Management Solutions for DB2 for z/OS suite of tools.
What is the recommended XMANID value within Xmanager to allow multiple releases of Xmanager to execute on the same LPAR?

Resolution

It is recommended that the XMANID specified in Xmanager be allowed to default to 0000 which will automatically resolve to the release version string.
For example under the r20 release, if XMANID='0000' is specified this will automatically default to the release string of 2000 which can be verified in
the following Xmanager message:

PXM0100 CA/XMANAGER 20.0 INIT IN PROGRESS ID=2000

The SETUPxx member of hlq.CDBAPARM would also specify the following which will automatically default to the release string: XMANID   (0000)
