Issue/Introduction

When attempting to import or upgrade VCF Automation, the configuration prechecks require a CIDR notation for IP allocation.

Environment

  • VCF Operations 9.1.0
  • VCF Automation 9.1.0

Cause

This is a product limitation. The upgrade process currently requires a valid CIDR to pass configuration prechecks.

Resolution

Currently the options are:

  1. Identify a range of 8 contiguous IP addresses (a /29 CIDR) on the management VLAN to dedicate to the VCF Automation services.
  2. Ensure this CIDR range is routable within the management network and does not overlap with existing subnets.
