Issue/Introduction

Concerns have been raised regarding whether Reporter OS is vulnerable to CVE-2026-28753, a security flaw impacting the NGINX mail proxy module (ngx_mail_smtp_module).

Resolution

Reporter is Not Affected.

Following a security evaluation by the engineering team, it has been confirmed that the platform is entirely safe from this vulnerability based on the following facts:

• The vulnerable ngx_mail_smtp_module component is not present on the system.
• The module is not configured or utilized anywhere within the Reporter environment.
