Issue/Introduction

This article explains how to get a list of devices not polled by SNMP for troubleshooting purposes.

Environment

NFA

Cause

Some network devices may not be polled by the Network Flow Analysis due to firewall or ACL restrictions.

Resolution

RDP to the NFA Console and issue the command below from the Windows prompt:

mysql reporter -unetqos -pnetqos -t -e "select inet6_ntoa(routeraddress) from routers where profileid=0;" > no_snmp_devices.txt

The file no_snmp_devices.txt  will have a list of all devices that NFA could not SNMP poll. If that is the case, please check the SNMP profile to confirm whether the SNMP community string matches the one configured in the device and check firewall/ACL configuration that may be blocking SNMP traffic from the NFA Harvester to the network device.
