"There is a precheck running currently" message appears during SDDC Manager update precheck in VCF Operations

Issue/Introduction

When initiating a precheck for an SDDC Manager update in VCF Operations (navigating to Build > Lifecycle > <target domain>), the following message may appear:

There is a precheck running currenty. You can trigger update or precheck after the current precheck complete.

Users may be unsure if it is safe to proceed with the update operation while or after seeing this message.

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 9.x

Resolution

Verify the actual state of the precheck task by refreshing the view.

1. Reload the web browser, or navigate to a different page in the UI and return to the <target domain> view.

2. Check if the message is still displayed. If the message no longer appears, it confirms that the corresponding precheck task has successfully completed and is no longer running in the background.

3. Proceed with the update operation. It is safe to trigger the update once the message clears.
