Issue/Introduction

When configuring the OneClick web server to use an external LDAP server for user authentication, testing the authentication fails with an input error or invalid credentials.

Spectrum ERROR MESSAGE SPC-OCA-10531: Input Error: SPC-OCA-10527:   A valid test user name must be specified

Resolution

1․ ENTER LDAP CONFIGURATION DETAILS: Provide the appropriate configuration values for your external LDAP server in the specified fields on the OneClick administration page․
Path/Command: Navigate to OneClick Administration -> LDAP Configuration
EXPECTED: Configuration fields accept the input values․
2․ PROVIDE CORRECT TEST CREDENTIALS: Enter the user name and password of the test Active Directory user account in the test authentication section․
NOTE: Do not enter the password for the LDAP bind account in the test password field․ The test utility validates the credentials of the test user account itself․ The LDAP Bind password field also needs to be populated when testing the connection.
EXPECTED: The text fields accept the test user name and password․
3․ RUN THE AUTHENTICATION TEST: Click the Test button to verify the LDAP configuration․
EXPECTED: The test completes successfully.
4․ SAVE THE CONFIGURATION: Click the Save button to apply and commit the changes to the OneClick web server configuration․
EXPECTED: The external LDAP configuration is saved successfully․
