Issue/Introduction

GitHub integration in Aria Automation fails to synchronize projects or add new content sources. Even after renewing the GitHub personal access token and successfully validating the integration, the synchronization process continues to fail with certificate-related errors.

Symptoms

  • Project sync fails with the error: "Invalid content source configuration".
  • The cgs-service-app.log file reports: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target.

Environment

VMware Aria Automation 8.18.1

Cause

The integration record in the database retains a stale certificate property within the endpoint_properties field. The standard UI and API validation processes are unable to clear this specific property once it has been populated.

Resolution

Broadcom Engineering is aware of this issue.

Please open a support ticket with Broadcom Support and attach a copy of log bundle. The support team will provide and execute the required steps to remediate the stale database Entries.
