Issue/Introduction

Intel I350 Gigabit network cards disappear intermittently from ESXi host causing error "Critical Interrupt Bus Fatal Error" 

 

Note: ESXi host is not generating a PSOD 

 

ESXi hardware management is showing

 

 

ESXi IPMI event logs show:

localcli hardware ipmi sel list

vSphere 8.0

Cause

A PCI bus error is usually caused by a faulty I/O device or a problem with the BIOS

Resolution

 Contact hardware vendor for further diagnosis.
