NSX Manager node deployment stalls at 55 percent and fails

Issue/Introduction

When deploying a new NSX Manager node from the NSX UI, the deployment stalls at 55% for approximately 40 minutes and eventually fails.

Cause

This occurs when the newly deployed node is assigned to a portgroup or segment with an incorrect VLAN, preventing Layer 2 connectivity.

Resolution

1. Delete the failed NSX Manager node appliance from the NSX UI.
2. Delete the associated virtual machine from vCenter.
3. Redeploy the NSX Manager node, ensuring that the selected portgroup or NSX segment is configured with the correct management VLAN to allow Layer 2 adjacency with the existing cluster members.
