Issue/Introduction

This article outlines the prerequisites and process for manually unregistering a VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) instance from Fleet LCM.

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1

Resolution

Prerequisites:

Before initiating any unregistration processes, you must perform a full backup of the following components:

• Fleet VSP

• VCF_FLEET_LCM

• VCF Operations

• The VCF_SDDC_LCM instance that is designated for deletion

Important Limitations:

• This procedure applies only to secondary VCF instances and their associated SDDC LCM.

• The primary SDDC LCM cannot be unregistered as it hosts the VCF_FLEET_LCM component.
