Issue/Introduction

- Failed to deploy VCF with error VROPSVIDBCONFIG0009 on VCF installer

- Failed step is Deploy and configure the operation appliance - Deploy and configure VCF Management Services

- Check if VCF adapter instance is created for the VCF instance installed.
 You can find there is no VCF adapter instance created

- The following command times out or fails from VCF ops node and CP node.
host -W 15 -R 1 -T <IP_ADDRESS> 

(Note: The -T flag forces the query to use TCP instead of UDP.)

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1

Cause

TCP 53 port with DNS server blocked

Resolution

1. Create VCF adapter instance manually.

 In VCF ops UI, Go to Operate -> Administration -> Integrations -> Add and Select VMware Cloud Foundation.

 And Create adapter instance with admin credential.

 

2. Edit the adapter instance with enabling 'System Managed Credential' checkbox.

 Edit newly created VCF adapter instance and enabling 'System Managed Credential' 

 Save the configuration.

3. Retry the failed task using FBS UI or Installer.
