Error: "role encryption management service already exist during instance creation" occurs during instance creation

Issue/Introduction

• The original encryption manager instance had failed and was being reinstalled.
• Installation of a new encryption management instance was failing.

Environment

• VMware Cloud Director Encryption Management 1.2.0
• VMware Cloud Director

Cause

This issue occurs because a role and service account from the old installation still exist in the environment.

Resolution

To resolve this issue remove the service account and role which were created as part of the previous installation.

1. Log into the Provider UI.
2. Navigate to Administration > Provider Access Control > Service Accounts. 
3. Locate service account named service-account-encryption-management-system-user and delete it.
4. Navigate to Administration > Provider Access Control > Roles. 
5. Locate the role name encryption management service  and delete it.
6. Navigate to Solution Add-On Management and perform a new Encryption Management instance deployment.
