Issue/Introduction

• Precheck failure encountered when running a precheck on VCF Operations UI > Build > Lifecycle > VCF Instances > vcf_instance > mgmt_domain > Upgrade Sequence > VMware vCenter 9.1.0.0 Upgrade > CONFIGURE
• The errors returned are - 

Failed to download package-pool/rpm-manifest.json from https://sddc_fqdn/vmware/vcf/bundle/xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx/update_repo

Ensure the provided repository is accessible from the vCenter Server Appliance and that the repository contains https://sddc_fqdn/vmware/vcf/bundle/xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx/update_repo/package-pool/rpm-manifest.json

Environment

VCF 9.1.0.0

Cause

Traffic between vCenter and SDDC Manager being intercepted by proxy.

The proxy is performing SSL inspection that is creating the issue encountered.

Resolution

• Add the SDDC FQDN and SDDC IP Address to the vcenter_fqdn:5480 VAMI page > Networking > Proxy Settings > Hosts and IP addresses excluded from proxy
• The precheck is then expected to complete successfully
