Does K-safety change from 1 to 2 in a 5 node cluster

Issue/Introduction
We are increasing a 3 node cluster to a 5 node cluster based on the sizing tool.
Will this change the K-safety from 1 node down, to 2 nodes down or more?
Environment
DX NetOps :: All Supported Versions
Cause
Vertica does not recommend this setting as it will have a major impact on performance.
a K-safety of 2 uses 50% more system resources. This usage could slow system performance.
Resolution
DX NetOps does NOT support a K-safety value greater than 1.
