Issue/Introduction

Users implementing ODC push-based integrations in DX O2 SaaS may need to validate whether entities and alarms are being created correctly without relying solely on the UI. Currently, there is no direct supportability dashboard or customer-facing log for these background processes.

Environment

  • Product: DX Operational Observability (DX O2) SaaS
  • Feature: Open Data Connector (ODC) Push-Based Integration / Webhook

Cause

The push-based ODC connector (odc-connector) runs as a backend service in the DX O2 SaaS environment. It does not currently publish ingestion logs or metrics to a customer-accessible dashboard.

Resolution

To validate specific Alarm or Entity creation in DX O2 SaaS without using the UI, you must use the DX OI APIs.

1. Validate Alarms

Use the Alarms Search API to confirm if alarms from your specific integration have landed.

Query the TAS Topology API to confirm that the expected entities have been created in the inventory.

3. Troubleshooting Failures

If the data is not appearing in the UI or via API after following the documentation, please open a support case for further investigation by Support/Engineering using internal supportability tools.
