Issue/Introduction

In Automic Automation Engine version 24.4.4,hf1 and 24.4.4hf2 users observe that when the Maximum Runtime of a job is modified, the Estimated Runtime (ERT) Calculation Method automatically switches to 'Fixed Value'.

Expected behavior is for the ERT method to remain as defined in the UC_CLIENT_SETTINGS or the object's specific configuration, rather than being forced to 'Fixed Value' upon modifying unrelated runtime settings.

Environment

Automic Web Interface: V 24.4.4h1 and 24.4.4hf2

Cause

Product Bug.

Resolution

This issue has been resolved in Automation Engine V 24.4.5

Steps to Resolve:

  1. Upgrade the Automation Engine and Automic Web Interface to version 24.4.5(once available) or higher versions.
  2. After the upgrade, verify that modifying the Maximum Runtime no longer affects the ERT Calculation Method setting.

Note: There is no Defect ID for this as this was fixed in internal testing on V 24.4.5
