Issue/Introduction

A Cloud Proxy VM appears registered and persistent in the environment, but the workload domain status indicates it "needs to be configured" within the Configuration Management view. This article provides steps to manually associate the workload domain with the existing Cloud Proxy integration.

Environment

  • VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.x
  • VCF Operations (formerly Aria Operations)
  • SDDC Manager

Cause

The automated association between the workload domain and the Cloud Proxy failed during the initial setup or requires a manual refresh of the integration settings.

Resolution

Associate the workload domain to the existing cloud proxy using the following steps:

  1. Log in to the VCF Operations UI.

  2. Navigate to Operate > Administration > Integration.

  3. Locate the existing integration for the impacted VCF instance.

  4. Edit or redo the integration to explicitly associate the Cloud Proxy with the target workload domain.

  5. Verify that the workload domain status in the Manager > Configuration Management view now reflects as configured.
