SARSTC Abend S1FB Due to Report Collection Problem OM View

Issue/Introduction

When a S1FB abend occurs in a View started task, there will be a message similar to:

   CCSR010E SARSDAPI S1FB at 00E3A5EC LMOD IATDMEB3

Environment

• View®
• OM View for z
• Output Management View® for z/OS

Cause

The message indicates that View needs to shut down because it's having a problem collecting a report.

Resolution

Instructions:

The problem reports will appear in View with a location of OPEN.

1. In the View Sysout Selection List, to the left of the report, issue "C" (for Clean). 
2. Go to the JES queue, and place the report(s) causing the problem either on hold or purge them.
3. Bring up SARSTC with "/S sarstc,OPT=STOPBU". 
4. Have a View backup run. 
5. A minimum of 4 hours later, after the first issue of "C" on the OPEN reports, issue the "C" again.

The reports should go from a location of OPEN to DISK.
