Issue/Introduction

You are trying to do Brownfield import/sync to SDDC.

That is failing with similar message 

In brownfield.log you see similar entries  

 

[INFO] sddc_manager_helper:###: Generating SDDC Manager public API token
[ERROR] request_helper:###: Result status code from ESC[91mSDDC Manager token generation: 401
[CRITICAL] vcf_brownfield:###: ESC[##mFatal exception: ("Could not generate a token from SDDC Manager. Please review '/var/log/vmware/vcf/commonsvcs/vcf-commonsvcs.log' for further details.",)

Environment

VCF 5.x

Cause

Incorrect user entered when you initated import/sync

Resolution

You need to use admin@local user/credentials for Brownfield import/sync to work.
