vCenter Import Fails in SDDC Manager with Error: There are not enough ESXi hosts in the primary cluster for the requested NSX deployment

Issue/Introduction

• A precheck failure is encountered during the vCenter Server import workflow in SDDC Manager. The validation fails during the 'NSX deployment cluster size check' with the following error: 'There are not enough ESXi hosts in the primary cluster for the requested NSX deployment. The cluster being imported has only 2 hosts.'
• Reviewing the SDDC Manager import workflow precheck results shows: - Status: ERROR - VALIDATION_FAILED - Validation: NSX Deployment Cluster Size - Details: Designated primary cluster contains only two ESXi hosts.

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 5.x

Cause

The primary cluster consists of only two ESXi hosts, which does not meet the minimum requirement to support a highly available three-node NSX Manager cluster deployment

Resolution

1. Add an additional ESXi host to the primary cluster to reach a minimum of three hosts.

2. Confirm adequate compute, memory, and storage resources are available.

3. Rerun the validation precheck in SDDC Manager.

4. Proceed with the vCenter import workflow.
