Issue/Introduction

In Clarity 16.4.2 the Clarity Native Reporting Data Providers display an Attributes tab,

What is the criteria for attributes to be listed on the Attributes tab?

Resolution

Which attributes are listed under the "Attributes" tab are based on two criteria:

1. The attribute is selected under the "Objects" tab on the data provider
2. You can configure display mappings on that attribute which include the following data types:
   
   • Numeric attributes which also include:
     
     • Studio Calculated and ACA
     • Data Provider Calculated Dimensions that return a numeric value.
     • Query attributes returning a number with no associated lookup.
   • Money attributes
   • Static Lookups
   • Does NOT include Boolean attributes.

In a nutshell if the attribute is display mappable, it will be listed under the "Attributes" tab

Configuring display mappings is the only action available under the "Attributes" tab. This is why we only display attributes that are display mappable; you cannot configure display mappings for Strings, Long Strings and RTF.
