Issue/Introduction

This article clarifies the supported deployment architectures in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.1, specifically regarding the placement of user VMs within the Management Domain.

Resolution

VCF 9.1 supports both Standard and Consolidated deployment architectures. In a Consolidated architecture design, user VMs are permitted to be deployed and hosted within the Management Domain alongside the management components.
When deploying user VMs in the Management Domain, please ensure that adequate resources are maintained for the management plane components to avoid resource contention. For more details, refer to the VCF 9.1 Documentation on Consolidated Architecture:
