vIDM Configurator Fails with "No content to map due to end-of-input" Error After Disk-Full Event

Issue/Introduction

In vIDM 3.3.7 environments, a disk-full event can lead to the corruption and truncation of the system-config.properties file. This truncation strips the secure.clientSecret entry from the file, resulting in the following error:

• Error: LCMVIDM71090
• Log Message: "No content to map due to end-of-input"

This issue prevents proper service operation and requires manual restoration of the configuration.

Environment

VMware Identity Manager 3.3.7

Cause

While the disk was full, the setSuiteToken loop in the vIDM process attempted to write back to system-config.properties, leading to a partial write and file truncation.

Resolution

Run through the kb:Accessing the configuration settings page over port 8443 does not fully load or throws the error "Failed to set admin password: No content to map due to end-of-input"

If the issue persists, raise a case with Broadcom support.
