Symantec DLP URT does not complete during package compilation with "AIPBLOCKAUTHENTICATION" error

Issue/Introduction

The Symantec DLP Upgrade Readiness Tool (URT) execution halts unexpectedly, returning a SQL package compilation error referencing the symbol "AIPBLOCKAUTHENTICATION".

The execution stops, generating the following error message:

Warning: The package body was created with compilation errors.
Errors occurred in PACKAGE BODY UPGRADESCHEMA_DATA_MIGRATION:
LINE/COL ERROR
8677/60 PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol "AIPBLOCKAUTHENTICATION" when expecting one of the following:
Error: SQL package compilation error.

 

 

Environment

• Data Loss Prevention (DLP) version 16.0.20000.60702 (16.0.2 RU2)
• Upgrade Readiness Tool (URT)

 

Cause

The Oracle database was installed using a Chinese locale, and the code page was set to Chinese. The DLP installer does not provide an option for installing Oracle with a Chinese locale; therefore, this installation is not technically supported as Broadcom does not perform any testing using a Chinese locale for the Oracle database.

This installation method deviates from Broadcom's documented standards Symantec tests and supports only databases built with the default English locale.
