Some port groups disappear from "Virtual Switches" view after entering maintenance mode.

Issue/Introduction

After entering maintenance mode, specific port groups may disappear from the topology diagram under ESXi > Configure > Networking > Virtual Switches.

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi
VMware vCenter Server

Cause

This behavior occurs because all virtual machines utilizing those port groups have been migrated to other hosts.
If a port group is not associated with a VMkernel port and no virtual machines are active on that specific ESXi host, the port group is automatically hidden from the "Virtual Switches" view.

Resolution

This is expected behavior by design, and no action is required. The port groups will reappear once a virtual machine using them is migrated back to the ESXi host.
